Nutroma: from glass to rPET packaging
Nutroma’s goal for the future? That all the bottles are made of 100% rPET. This is how they strive for circular packaging. In other words: products that are recycled again and again so that they can make new ones. Nutroma is not quite there yet, but they’re working on it. And that is an important first step.
rPET bottle
The Nutroma Creamy 500 ml & 200 ml bottles already consist of 100% rPET (excluding cap and wrapper). The transition from glass to rPET results in 60% and 58% less CO2 emissions respectively. The Nutroma 0% Fat 200ml bottle is made from 89% rPET (excluding cap and wrapper).
Why choose rPET?
rPET is not just any plastic. It is made from 100% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable afterwards. And because it is much lighter in weight than glass, it takes less energy to produce, transport and recycle it. As a result, it produces less CO2 emissions than single-use glass bottles.
