Presumably based of the available knowl- edge from Tetra Laval, the new division enters into serious research of the beverage end product. The various impacts of the PET package on such an end product are estab- lished. Micro-organisms, light, oxygen or temperature can easily alter or even contaminate the highly sensitive bever- age. Packages under changing environmental conditions are kept under scrutiny in the course of the investigations in order to be able to define a precise life expectancy. Sidel has integrated all of these aspects into a com- prehensive and unique service.
