The focus of the company’s latest devel- opments is on food packaging material sterilisation systems. It installed its first- ever closures sterilisation unit in 2004 and has subsequently supplied equip- ment to major companies in the bever- age industry across the world, including Nestlé Waters in France, Saudi Arabia, USA, and Mexico. The company has now widened its range of solutions with the development of integrated decon- tamination systems for preform necks, cups, and lids. Industrial enterprises are constantly struggling to improve their productivity and, at the same time, have to comply with regulatory constraints and increas- ing pressure to adopt sustainable production practices. Disinfection with pulsed light has the capacity to replace chemical or radiation-based technolo- gies. It is dry, compact, easy to integrate on new or to retro-fit on production lines and offers limited running costs. Further- more, Claranor’s technology does not require operators to learn a new set of specific hazard management proce- dures. Claranor’s market targets are indus- trial plants of international groups in the beverage and dairy sectors, as well as smaller industrial actors, on a worldwide scale. Around 90% of its 2013 turnover was generated outside of France. The
