Vitafit’s solutions to challenges of hot-fill bottling and finished- product transportation in sub-zero tempera- tures are both innova- tive and advanced. Vitafit, which was estab- lished in 1997 by three siblings and a German inves- tor, has come a long way in a short time. Starting with a second-hand glass bottling line imported from Germany, it has grown to become a major player in the market for carbon- ated beverages and soft drinks in Mongolia. When it was faced with the need for additional capacity it commissioned Krones for a new hot-fill bot- tling line to handle still bever- ages with a fruit-juice content, squashes and juices, with milk-based mixed beverages planned for the near future. Vitafit is now entirely owned by the Bolorsaikhan family, who have focused on provid- ing quality solutions to niche opportunities and reinvested much of its profits in technol- ogy and marketing, based around its motto of “Quality smiles”. “Multi”, its best-selling product in its beverage portfo- lio, is a multi-vitamin drink fea- turing twelve different fruits and with a juice content of 20%. It accounts for around a third of the company’s 80 million fills a year.
