Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. is a publicly traded company from 1998 to 2007. On December 13, 2007, the Canadian private equity investment firm Onex Corporation completed a friendly buy-out of Husky for $960 million. On May 26, 2011 Husky announced it completed the acquisition of KTW of Waidhofen, Austria, recognised as a global leader in closure mould making. Berkshire Partners LLC and Omers Private Equity Inc. announced on June 30, 2011 the successful closing of their previously announced acquisition of Husky International Ltd for $2.1 billion. On December 19, 2013 Husky announced completion of the acquisition of the Schöttli Group of Diessenhofen, Switzerland, recognised as a global leader in medical and closure mould making. In 2018 global investment firm Platinum Equity signed a definitive agree- ment to buy Husky for $3.85 billion. John Galt CV John Galt is President and Chief Executive Officer of Husky, having been appointed in Sep- tember 2005. He joined Husky in 1985 and during his 33 years with the company has held a number of progressive positions in the areas of engineering, manufacturing and customer service. John holds a Mechanical Engi- neering Degree from Ryerson Poly- technic University in Toronto.
