What started as a joint venture near Mumbai led to the establishment in 2007 of an independent production plant, located around 50km north-west of Pune, since when production has boomed. Initial output was 900 million closures annually; future output is set to be over 8 billion a year. This major increase in production, along with an active and growing presence in a wide range of segments in both the beverage and industrial sectors has enabled Bericap to establish a strong position on the local Indian market.
