The company’s state-of-the-art equipment is claimed to enable comprehensive qualification of new PET bottles, blowing processes, and preforms. Equipped with a modern laboratory blow moulding machine with one blow moulding station, Röders can flexibly adapt to various production requirements. The laboratory is capable of extensive testing for new bottle designs, including the installation of different mould types for rotary and linear blow moulding machines, testing of quick-change or standard blow moulds, and adjustment for different thread types and preforms. The lab can also work with PET and rPET materials, optimise blowing pressures, test material distribution, stretch ratios, and process parameters, and conduct weight optimisation to reduce material costs. Röders can deliver sample bottles in requested quantities, including larger runs. The company’s long-serving employees offer customers support in adjusting and optimising blow moulding processes and can assist in converting blow moulding machines on-site. Tests, optimisations, and evaluations can also be conducted collaboratively with customers at Röders’ facilities. The company can conduct a wide range of examinations, including drop impact, thermal stability, stress crack testing, top load, burst resistance, carbonation retention, weight, fill point and brimful capacity, bottle dimensions, perpendicularity, base clearance, wall thickness, section weights, and appearance & odour assessments. The laboratory has long been certified by PepsiCo and was recently authorised by Coca-Cola, in addition to offering testing according to customers’ specific requirements. For over 50 years, Röders has produced several hundred thousand blow moulds for non-returnable and refillable bottles. The company is completely familiar with the various machine types and generations from leading manufacturers such as KHS Corpoplast, Krones, Sidel, and Sipa, with expertise down to the finest detail. Röders offers specially developed coatings to enhance the durability of standard blow moulds upon request. The company recently pursued ISO certification, a standard that ensures stringent quality management.
