This is the third annual edition of the show, which was first held in 2023. Dubai has been its permanent home. Previous events have attracted exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, with just over half of the 4,000 attendees from the Middle East and 10% from Africa. Visitors from Asia amounted to 30%. Between 100 and 120 exhibitor companies attend regularly. Enterprises from Europe made up just under 30% of stands at the 2024 show, followed by India with a fifth of the total, UAE and China with 12.9% each and businesses from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia amounting to over six per cent. Representatives from Turkey, Qatar, Egypt and North America made up the balance. The next edition of the Show, scheduled for September 14-16, 2026, will again be held at its regular home in Dubai. In addition, a Plastics Recycling Show Middle East conference will be held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in January 2026. The 2025 show will host the ceremony for the very first Plastics Recycling Awards Middle East and Africa and will also see the debut of the Circular Plastic Hub, which will enable companies a platform to display innovative products made from recycled plastic. The Plastics Recycling Show MEA is the only event in the region dedicated specifically to plastics recycling, which is gaining increasing attention across the Middle East and Africa. Key subjects likely to be discussed include the current very low level of recycling rates; the limited waste collection sorting systems infrastructure; and access to raw materials for recycling projects. Regional initiatives that are likely to gain attention include the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s aim to divert all municipal solid waste from landfill by 2030, and Dubai’s target of zero waste to landfill by 2030. Visitors to the show will have a chance to see how agencies and government investment arms are driving efforts to eliminate landfill use and build recycling infrastructure, how private companies are investing in material recovery facilities and recycling plants and to find out more about the Gulf Co-Operation Council’s (GCC) investigation of chemical recycling and the growing momentum for regulations that support recyclability standards, for product labelling and for food-grade recycled plastics. www.prseventmea.com Now featuring Virtual Navigator – achieve sustainability in every cycle XVLQJ VPDUW HɝFLHQW SURFHVV FRQWURO Process Pilot+® Agr’s Process Pilot+ system delivers an automated, predictive response tailored to your unique bottle design and blowmolder characteristics ensuring optimization, consistency and repeatability.
