Starlinger Group, Austria, is an industrial company for mechanical engineering and process technology with focus on application-oriented solutions. Starlinger’s Recycling Division, the business unit Starlinger recycling technology, founded in 2002, is the company’s second eldest field of endeavour. Yet thanks to entirely new recycling technologies and proven machine concepts, Starlinger’s product line recoSTAR quickly asserted its place in the market and has become a global and leading player in the field of plastics recycling. Starlinger recycling technology offers a spectrum of innovative machinery solutions for the efficient recycling of a variety of applications such as film, PET flakes, fibre and nonwoven, woven bags, and other specialities, of plastics, such as PE and PP, PET, PA, PS, PLA, PMMA, and many more. Starlinger’s recoSTAR technology is designed for the recycling of production and post-consumer waste.
History
Starlinger was founded in 1835 under the name of Franz Laubek. In 1897, under the management of Franz Starlinger, the company changed its production to textile machinery, particularly machines for making passementerie – fringes, trims, braiding. In 1913 the company was registered with the authorities as Starlinger & Co. 2002 saw a change of generations in the Starlinger management, with Angelika Huemer taking over as managing partner in her parents’ enterprise.
Starlinger’s Recycling Division was founded in 2002.
