LyondellBasell, a global leader in the chemical industry, launches Polybatch Effects Frost masterbatches to transform PET packaging with a matte frost effect. The new masterbatches are available in two distinct styles. The solution can be seamlessly integrated with various colours to achieve a high-end, sophisticated look, says the company.
The Polybatch Effects Frost masterbatches offer several benefits for PET packaging. They enable brands to elevate their image with a sophisticated, high-end look. These masterbatches effectively reduce the visibility of recycled PET (rPET), resulting in a more desirable and uniform appearance. Compatibility with Near-Infrared (NIR) sorting systems ensures the material remains recyclable, maintaining environmental sustainability.
Additionally, Polybatch Effects Frost is compliant with FDA regulations, making it suitable for use in food and cosmetic packaging. The masterbatches can be integrated into existing injection stretch blow moulding (ISBM) processes without requiring additional tool changes, providing a cost-effective solution.
