Brau Beviale: Positive signals from the market

Over its three-day run, BrauBeviale 2024 in Nuremberg attracted a total of 30,821 visitors, consistent with the previous year’s attendance. About 84% of the visitors came from Germany and the European Union. The event featured 858 exhibitors (compared to 968 in 2023) across a net exhibition space of 35,403 m². In addition to the exhibition areas, BrauBeviale 2024 offered special spaces for an extensive lecture program, focusing on raw materials & marketing, as well as technology & packaging, providing visitors with valuable industry insights.

Trade fairs as drivers of investment

Around 10% of exhibitors at BrauBeviale 2024 were new or returning participants. “It has become evident that exhibitors are carefully selecting the size of their booth space as part of their fair strategy, as reflected in a decrease of about 9% in sold space at BrauBeviale 2024. However, this is not an indication of a negative mood within the industry,” said Rolf Keller, Managing Director of event organizer Yontex. “Many exhibitors – including market leaders – have signaled that investment activity is on the rise. Preliminary analysis of visitor data already shows a clear increase in the share of decision-makers.”

Next date confirmed

After the event is before the event: the next BrauBeviale is already scheduled. As the fair alternates with drinktec, the next industry gathering in Nuremberg will take place from November 10 to 12, 2026. This timing responds to the industry’s desire to return to the traditional mid-November slot.
