Advanced Recycling Conference 2025

The Advanced Recycling Conference (ARC) 2025 will take place 19–20 November 2025 in Cologne, Germany, with both in-person and online participation options available.

The EU’s ambitious recycling targets, industry commitments, and consumer demand are putting intense pressure on the recycling sector. While large volumes of waste remain unrecycled, there is growing demand for renewable feedstocks, sparking debate over which technologies best suit different waste streams and how to measure their environmental impact. Advanced recycling is rapidly evolving, with new players, facilities, capacities, and partnerships emerging constantly, making it challenging to stay informed. To address this, the Advanced Recycling Conference (ARC) will provide a two-day platform offering a clear overview of recycling technologies for different plastic waste streams, alongside political and environmental perspectives.

Organised by nova-Institut GmbH, the conference will convene industry leaders, technology providers, waste managers, researchers, policymakers, investors, and brand representatives to explore the latest in advanced recycling. Its unique format offers a comprehensive overview of advanced recycling technologies – ranging from extrusion, dissolution, solvolysis, enzymolysis, pyrolysis and thermal depolymerisation to gasification and incineration combined with Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU).

Conference themes include:

  • Markets, investments and policy
  • Circular economy and ecology of plastics
  • Physical recycling
  • Biochemical recycling
  • Chemical recycling
  • Thermochemical recycling
  • Other advanced recycling technologies
  • Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU)
  • Upgrading, pre- and post-treatment technologies
  • Digital solutions
