Intelligent automation,energy-saving features & scalable mould solutions
PET Technologies Hall C6 – Booth 461
PET Technologies is showcasing its blow moulding equipment and integrated mould solutions, developed with a strong focus on energy efficiency, automation, and customisation. The company’s experts will be available to demonstrate equipment functionality, discuss technical features in detail, and explore tailored solutions for new and existing projects.
PET Technologies features the APF-Max series, an all-electric line for PET bottle production. This range is designed to combine advanced engineering with intelligent automation to deliver good performance and precision. The equipment is tailored for companies seeking to maximise output while minimising resource consumption – a challenge increasingly relevant in today’s industry.
One of the core innovations is the near-infrared (NIR) heating system, used in combination with ceramic reflectors. According to the company, this system enables faster and more uniform preform heating than conventional approaches, while reducing energy consumption by up to 30%. The NIR system shortens the heating time, enabling faster cycle speeds.
To further support sustainable operations, the machines are equipped with a two-stage air recovery system. This feature helps reuse compressed air from the blowing process, thus reducing compressed air consumption – a critical consideration as energy costs rise and environmental regulations tighten.
Automation is deeply integrated into the APF-Max design, says PET Technologies. All communications and cabling are routed through the top of the unit, providing a clean and organised machine layout that simplifies installation and daily operations. Control is managed through a B&R (Austria) PLC, offering multilingual software and an intuitive interface to ensure smooth operation across international markets.
All key processes, including the pre-blow stage, are controlled digitally. A centralised lubrication system helps reduce manual maintenance and prolongs machine lifespan. With high-speed servo drives ensuring precise, repeatable motion, the APF-Max series is claimed to achieve consistent quality and stable performance at maximum output.
The machines are available in multiple configurations, from 2 to 8 cavities, enabling output capacities from 3,500 to 14,000 bph. This scalability makes the APF-Max series suitable for a wide variety of applications, from regional producers to large-scale manufacturers.
Mould technology

In addition to blow moulding equipment, PET Technologies manufactures its own moulds. Produced in-house using 4- and 5-axis CNC machining centres, the moulds are crafted with precision to support unique branding and functional requirements. The company provides custom mould solutions designed for a range of PET container types, including lightweight water bottles, wide-neck formats, and containers with complex geometries. The moulds are treated with anodisation – an electrochemical surface treatment – to enhance mould durability. This process increases resistance to wear and corrosion, supporting extended use in high-volume production environments.
