Think big, start smart

Bekum, Hall 14 – Booth C03

Bekum will showcase its extrusion blow moulding technology, focusing on three key themes:

  1. Premiere of the new Smartline: combining reduced machine investment with advanced energy consumption and life-cycle costs.
  2. Technology leadership: Live demonstration of crystal-clear PET handle bottles on an EBLOW 508D are intended to underline Bekum’s expertise in complex extrusion blow moulding applications.
  3. Service first: With an expanded service team in Siegburg/Bonn and decades of know-how, Bekum is introducing new service and retrofit solutions, also available for non-Bekum machinery.

The new all-electric Smartline machine series will make its global debut at K 2025  – the official unveiling will take place on the first day of the show. Developed to minimise Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Smartline offers significantly lower investment, high energy efficiency, and low-maintenance design, says the company.

At the Bekum booth, the new SBLOW machine type will be presented in live demonstrations several times a day – producing a compact consumer packaging solution suitable for the fast-moving consumer goods market.

Live demo: Crystal-clear PET handle bottles

Bekum will present a live demonstration of crystal-clear PET handle bottles on the all-electric EBLOW 508D. This double-station machine equipped with a powerful e-Twin-Toggle clamping system (300 kN), high-efficiency drives, and intuitive BC 8.0 control system. The flexible extrusion configuration allows processing of both PET and HDPE without conversion – ideal for producing PET handle containers or stackable HDPE canisters up to 12 L.

In collaboration with NOVAPET, Bekum will demonstrate the production of a 2 L handled amphora made from PET – showcasing the transparency, strength, and design freedom of this exclusive packaging solution for brand differentiation.

Expanded service and retrofit capabilities

With a strengthened service team based in Siegburg/Bonn and decades of expertise, Bekum is now offering independent service and retrofit solutions – for the first time also for machines from other manufacturers. This cross-brand concept extends Bekum’s capabilities beyond its own systems, aiming to provide more reliable and efficient support to customers during ongoing production, regardless of machine origin. In addition to comprehensive spare parts supply, the offering includes technical services, condition assessments, retrofit packages, and targeted upgrades, including retrofitting non-Bekum machines with Bekum extrusion heads. One such innovation is the 3BKW55-3 extrusion head with vertical extruders, specifically developed for processing recyclable materials. Also on display at the booth, this head features a flow-optimised geometry and spiral mandrel technology, ensuring good melt homogeneity and precise layer distribution. The arrangement of mechanical adjustments is designed in a user-friendly way to simplify operation.
