Circular Plastics Company inaugurates a new Sorema PET recycling line in Vietnam
Circular Plastics Company (CPC) has chosen Italian technology from Sorema, a global leader in the manufacturing of plastic recycling plants, for its new line in Vietnam. The line, inaugurated on June 10, 2025, is designed for PET recycling and incorporates advanced technologies. Fully operational for several weeks, it delivers a production capacity of 4,000 kg/h of food-grade recycled flakes.
Andrea Villa, Area Sales Manager at Sorema and responsible for the Far East, emphasised the importance of the preliminary work carried out during the laboratory tests: “The tests on the input material proved decisive, as they allowed us to thoroughly understand the characteristics of the feedstock available in the Asian market. From this came the need to develop a customised washing line, with a particular focus on the pre-washing section. Unlike the materials treated in Europe, Asian feedstock presents different contamination levels and requires tailored solutions – European standards cannot simply be applied. We therefore designed a bespoke plant, able to adapt to local conditions and ensure optimal performance.”
During the grand opening in Vietnam, attended by partners and industry representatives, the crucial role of the new facility for the local recycling supply chain was underlined. For CPC, choosing Sorema for the second time — following a project in Myanmar last year — not only strengthens its presence in Asia but also reaffirms its trust in a technological partner known for combining innovation with sustainability.
“From the very first operational tests, the line fully met expectations: reliability, continuous production, and the quality of the recycled material confirmed the value of Sorema’s technology. Our collaboration with Sorema once again ensures tangible results, contributing to the creation of a more sustainable industrial model. Moreover, the line has been designed to guarantee not only high production performance but also an optimal balance between capex and opex, making the investment both sustainable and efficient in the long term,” said Ruby La, CEO of CPC.
