Clarity meets sustainability

As the world shifts toward a circular economy, recycled PET (rPET) is playing an increasingly important role. Lightweight, durable, and perfectly recyclable, it embodies the promise of sustainable packaging. However, yellowing and discoloration during recycling remain a technical challenge.

Ventura Horizon addresses this issue by developing solutions that help brands maintain the appearance of packaging made from recycled PET, keeping it comparable to virgin materials.

Turning yellow into brilliance

Ventura Horizon has developed a new generation of liquid additive technologies that are claimed to restore the clarity, brightness, and performance of rPET. These solutions empower packaging producers to use more recycled content without compromising aesthetics or quality, says the company.

ClarityBoost delivers the clarity consumers expect by neutralising yellow or grey tones, resulting in crystal-clear bottles and containers. PureTaste protects beverage applications, for example, by reducing the formation of acetaldehyde (AA), thereby preserving both taste and brand integrity. The third development is the so-called HeatMax, enhancing production efficiency by improving reheating speed, cutting energy use, and maintaining visual clarity.

According to the company, each additive integrates easily into existing production lines and is fully compliant with EU and FDA food-contact regulations.
