Bariq expands into Saudi Arabia with PET recycling facility in Jeddah

Bariq has expanded its operations into Saudi Arabia with the establishment of a recycling facility in Jeddah operating under the name Creative Recycling World. The move represents the company’s latest regional expansion and is claimed to strengthen its presence in the Gulf market.

According to the company, the Jeddah plant will produce PET pellets and flakes using advanced processing technologies designed to meet international quality standards. The facility is intended to serve customers across Saudi Arabia and neighbouring countries, with a focus on supporting circular economy initiatives and improving access to locally recycled materials.

Bariq states that the new operation will enhance its ability to supply high-grade recycled plastics to the regional market while contributing to environmental sustainability goals. The company describes Creative Recycling as Saudi Arabia’s first PET recycling factory, positioning the site as a milestone for the country’s recycling infrastructure.

The expansion forms part of Bariq’s broader growth strategy in the region. In addition to increasing production capacity, the company aims to build partnerships in Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf area to support the development of recycling value chains.

With the Jeddah facility now operational, Bariq further consolidates its footprint in the Middle East recycling sector, reflecting ongoing investment in advanced recycling technologies and regional capacity building.
