Processing plant for PET recycling
The Reiling Kunststoff Recycling GmbH & Co. KG presented its new PET processing plant. During an appointment on site in Burgbernheim, Germany, company head Bernhard Reiling demonstrated the new location to bvse managing director Eric Rehbock. Reiling’s business unit “Recycling of Plastics” now has three locations, as Bernhard Reiling explained at the presentation of the new recycling plant.
The construction of the production hall was completed in April 2020, with the focus on sustainable construction within the project. The buildings are heated by the company’s own combined heat and power unit (CHP), and a photovoltaic system with almost 590 kWp ensures efficient energy conversion.
In the meantime, a PET processing plant has also been built, which can process up to 60,000t/a of bottles. In addition, the new location is used as a logistics base for the recycling of solar panels of the Reiling Group. The company site will create about 40 jobs in the region.
