NPE 2024 officially wraps in Orlando and draws record attendance
NPE 2024 wrapped up a significant week with a substantial turnout, reinforcing its status as a prominent event in the plastics sector in the Americas. With over 50,000 registrants, the show garnered considerable interest from industry stakeholders.
This year’s edition saw a notable influx of newcomers, with 63% of attendees experiencing NPE for the first time. The trade show also recorded one of the youngest audiences in its history, with 30% of participants under the age of 40, signaling a rising enthusiasm for innovation, sustainability, and the future prospects of the plastics industry.
The event’s global outreach reaffirmed its reputation as a key international gathering for the plastics industry in the Americas. More than 15,000 international registrants marked a milestone as the most internationally diverse show in NPE’s history. Representatives from 133 countries, encompassing 68.2% of nations worldwide, registered for the global plastics trade show. This represented a 9.9% increase compared to NPE2018, highlighting the exchange of industry innovations and ideas on a global scale and fostering international collaboration in addressing plastic-related challenges.
The strong international presence was further highlighted by sold-out events like the FLiP & Sip Reception, attracting over 1,000 attendees, and the Women in Plastics Breakfast, which drew nearly 600 participants.
