Tech-Long announces new CEO
Tech-Long, supplier of packaging systems and turn-key solutions to the bottling and packaging industries announced the appointment of Keith Boss to Chief Executive Officer, Americas today.
Boss joins Tech-Long after spending more than 25 years in the packaging industry having held senior executive positions with both Husky Injection Moulding Systems and Sidel. Boss will collaborate directly with Johnson Zhang, Managing Director Tech-Long USA, who established the Commerce, California-based operation in June 2012. Both Boss and Zhang will report to Song Ming Zhang, Chairman of Tech-Long China.
The appointment represents Tech-Long’s commitment to continuing expansion into the liquid packaging markets, including Canada, the United States, Mexico and South America.
Tech-Long will demonstrate its increased capabilities and presence in the Americas in early 2015 with two important announcements. First, the company will introduce the CPX Generation 5 blow moulding machine which provides operating speeds of up to 2,400 bottles per hour, per cavity. Second, Tech-Long USA will partner with Unique Injection Molding Systems Company, Ltd., a provider of injection moulding machinery, systems, moulds, robotics and auxiliary equipment.
