Successful certification for KIC Krones
The certification body TÜV SOUTH Management Service GmbH has successfully certified KIC Krones, a subsidiary of Krones AG. The TÜV SOUTH technical inspectorate has thus attested that the company KIC Krones Internationale Cooperationsgesellschaft mbH, Neutraubling, Germany, has introduced and is using a quality-management and an eco-management system. Audits have verified that these management systems meet the requirements laid down in the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 standards (quality and eco-management system). KIC Krones had already been certified under ISO 9001 in 2003, together with Krones AG. In 2009, Krones AG had then introduced the Integrated Management System (IMS), which groups together in a harmonised structure methods and tools for ensuring compliance with requirements from various categories (e.g. quality, HSE) that serve to enhance corporate governance. Here, KIC Krones was again certified together with Krones AG.
The disadvantage of this joint certification was that its range of validity was focused solely on plant and machinery manufacturing, and restricted KIC Krones in its range of validity. KIC Krones had been growing continuously, in terms its payroll and its product categories, which is why separate certification for KIC Krones was targeted, and TÜV SOUTH requested to conduct the relevant audit early in 2015.
KIC Krones nowadays offers the following product groupings: adhesives, called "Krones colfix", cleaning agents and disinfectants, called "Krones colclean", plus lubricants, called "Krones celerol". This expansion of the product portfolio has been included in the range of validity. The range of validity now reads: "development, service and trading of labelling adhesives, packaging adhesives and cleaning agents; service and trading of lubricants."
The certificate runs for three years at a time, in which an annual monitoring audit is conducted by TÜV SOUTH. The date for the monitoring audit in 2016 has already been fixed.
