R+D/Leverage Europe Product Solutions Laboratory (PSL) officially opened
R&D/Leverage UK conducted its first press conference and grand opening of its PSL (Product Solutions Lab). The presentations were opened with Alan Tolley, Managing Director of R&D/Leverage UK, followed by a few welcoming words from Labour Party politician Gloria De Piero.
The PSL facility was purchased in 2012 with the goal of providing a secure research and development working environment to confirm the feasibility for bottle/jar shape, market evaluations, short-run production for line, filling, labelling and capping trials, and tooling qualification and process validation.
As Robert Schiavone, Global Marketing director for R&D/Leverage states, "R&D/Leverage now provides services from pre-sales evaluations, product design, prototyping and tooling design through manufacture and process validation, prior to shipping the production tooling to the customer."
The PSL is also equipped with the latest generation of all auxiliary equipment needed including robotics, chillers, dryers, compressors and more. Latest moulding machines to be installed are a Nissei 12M and a Nissei 70DPW.
