The winner takes it all
The Golden Label Award was granted to the most outstanding achievements in label design and label production. In the middle of March, the Ferry Porsche Congress Center in Zell am See, Austria, saw the award ceremony of the coveted Golden Label Award. An international jury of experts from the specialist fields of design & concept development as well as printing technology & labelling evaluated almost 100 labels in a 2-stage procedure.
Taking into account 6 assessment criteria, the jury determined the best labels in 4 categories: (1) Beer & shandy, (2) confectionary, cans, jars, (3) mineral water, soft drinks, non-alcoholic beverages and (4) wine & spirits. Additionally there was an online voting, more than 1,000 votes were cast, the votes for the winner exceeding 350.
For the first time, the Golden Label Award ceremony was combined with the “International Label Conference”. In analogy to the topics of the conference, organiser Brigl & Bergmeister paid particular attention to creating an event in line with sustainability and environmental compatibility. This commitment was honoured with a “Green Meeting” certificate. The winners have distinguished themselves in particular on account of great achievements in the areas of product design, label design, technical implementation, marketing and sustainability. They demonstrate the manifold options with regard to packaging design in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry.
In the category mineral water, soft drinks and non-alcoholic beverages Royal Hoitsema Labels submitted a Vöslauer special edition which was awarded with the golden label.
