PET Engineering wins 2016 World Beverage Innovation Award
On 9th November the annual World Beverage Innovation Awards took place at BrauBeviale in Germany as part of the 14th Beverage Awards. PET Engineering received during the ceremony its second World Beverage Innovation Award in the category “Best Bottle in PET” for Lux, the new PET premium bottle for still and sparkling water.
After having won several awards for its HO.RE.CA. bottles for water and beer in PET, such as the WBIA 2014, the Oscar dell’Imballaggio and the World Star Awards, PET Engineering presents Lux, its new premium bottle for still and sparkling water, always in PET, that is intended to combine unbreakability, light-weighting and low cost advantages of PET with concepts of elaborated elegance. PET Engineering has considered the image of an upper class sinuous lady that plays with diamonds and other precious stones to be charming, elegant and radiant in her refined and magnificent elegance. The designers have used the regular shape of diamonds as their starting point due to the geometric perfection of its elements. Their repetition in three dimensional space creates an elaborated decoration which begins at the base and continues upwards along its sinuous, elegant and feminine shape leaving just the space for a minimal and clear label, which allows the diamonds to be seen in an elegant “ transparency effect”.
The bottle’s three dimensional decorations and the use of vivid and intense colours by Repi, reproducing the vibrant transparency of glass, produces an interesting refraction effect and the bottle shines bright like millions of diamonds in the sky. Lux is presented in a precious black carton box that contains still and sparkling versions for limited editions.
The award’s judging panel considered in total 229 entries from 37 countries in 26 categories.
