McDonald’s announces launch of RTD McCafé Frappés
Long-time Coca-Cola business partner Mc Donald’s recently announced that it plans to expand its popular Mc Café coffee drinks to the beverage aisle next year with three new ready-to-drink (RTD) Mc Café Frappes – Caramel, Mocha and Vanilla. The new drinks, to be produced, distributed and marketed by the Coca-Cola system, will be available in re-sealable PET bottles at retailers nationwide.
In support of Mc Donald’s announcement, The Coca-Cola Company said: “We know people are going to love Mc Donald’s new, ready-to-drink McCafé Frappés. As longtime partners of Mc Donald’s, we look forward to working together to expand the reach and availability of Mc Café coffees to more people across the country. McCafé Frappés will join a diverse yet complementary range of RTD coffee offerings made and distributed by Coca-Cola.”
Coca-Cola’s RTD coffee portfolio currently includes: Gold Peak, a billion-dollar iced tea brand in the U.S., with two flavors of cold-brew coffees (Salted Caramel and Almond Toffee) and bottled tea lattes (Chai and Vanilla); Dunkin’ Donuts-branded iced coffee beverages (Original, Mocha, Espresso and French Vanilla); and Java Monster, a hybrid coffee and energy drink produced by Monster Energy and distributed by Coca-Cola bottlers.
