SGT invests in a new production site
In keeping with its development plan announced in 2017, the SGT group announced the investment in its 6th production factory. The new factory of the manufacturer of PET preforms will be built in Eastern France, a location with both strategic and economic potential to assist customers and the market with their constant demands for innovation and growth. This 21 million Euro investment will enable the Rezé-based company to increase its production capacity by one billion units/year.
The future 10,000 m² factory will be equipped initially with latest generation injection presses which combine technical and energy performance.
The 5-hectare site which was purchased in January provides extension possibilities and in time may enable this new factory’s capacity to be tripled.
The SGT unit at Chalon-Sur-Saône will employ around forty people when it starts production.
