Smeraldina Sport Cap from Demo
Demo Design and Moulds has developed the new "Sport Cap" container for Acqua Smeraldina, Italy. The company’s design department studied the new 0.75 litre bottle with a push and pull cap for still products, beginning with the client’s requests, and transforming them in to a functional product.
The client wanted an "on the go" container that needed to maintain the same look as the existing bottle family, whilst highlighting the content’s characteristics. Particular attention was paid to the diamond effect on the bottle’s shoulder and the company logo. The study of the grip area and an optimised blowing process is suitable for children, too.
By simply applying pressure to the grip area, the product is released, avoiding the rigidness that is often found in push and pull containers. Following the design stage, Demo manufactured and supplied the complete set of blow moulds for the client’s lines, and the format change elements. The 0.75 litre bottle has enriched the wide range of products made by Smeraldina.
