Coca-Cola Amatil opens new beverage plant in New Zealand

According to New Zealand news media, Coca-Cola Amatil New Zealand has unveiled its new state-of-the-art Keri juice manufacturing plant in Auckland. The 10.000m2 facility has a capacity to produce 800.000 bottles/day (36.000bph), which doubles the capacity of previous plants.

The plant houses technologies include Coca-Cola Amatil’s new Nitro hotfill processing method which is intended to create lightweight bottles as well as traditional blowfill and hotfill technologies.

The opening was attended by New Zealand’s Minister for Economic Development Steven Joyce as well as by Powerade ambassador and two-time Olympic Gold medallist Mahe Drysdale.
