Petainer launches its craft brewer offer in Spain and Portugal

PET packaging company Petainer is focusing on the fast-growing micro and craft brewer markets in Spain and Portugal as part of its global expansion plans. The business has made a significant investment to ensure that it can support these key markets effectively and efficiently, and has appointed Dani Vall in Spain and Pedro Crispim in Portugal as the official distributors of petainerKeg.

Petainer’s PET one-way petainerKeg is said to increasingly being used as a low-cost alternative to traditional steel kegs because it offers cost of ownership and sustainability benefits. It also provides enhanced product protection, making sure that the beer is as good as the day it was brewed for up to a year, according to Petainer.

Dani Vall said: “New craft breweries are opening every day in Spain and I am seeing huge demand for the one-way petainerKeg, thanks to its low total cost of ownership and ease of use.”

Pedro Crispim said: “In Portugal, the popularity of craft beer is also increasing. I expect this trend to continue as more micro and craft breweries open, presenting an exciting growth opportunity for petainerKeg.

Petainer will be exhibiting at the Barcelona Beer Festival, March 24-26 on stand no 4.
