A German family-owned company, Arburg is one of the leading global manufacturers of plastic processing machines. The product portfolio encompasses Allrounder injection moulding machines with clamping forces of between 125 and 6,500kN, the Freeformer for industrial additive manufacturing and robotic systems, customer- and industry-specific turnkey solutions and further peripheral equipment. The company places the topic of production efficiency at the centre of all its activities, taking into account the entire value-added chain. The objective is to enable Arburg customers to manufacture their plastic products, whether one-off parts or high-volume batches, with optimal quality and at minimum unit costs – e.g. for the automotive and packaging industries, communication and entertainment electronics, medical technology or the white goods sector. An international sales and service network ensures first-class, local customer support: Arburg is represented by its own organisations at 33 locations in 25 countries and by trading partners in more than 50 countries. The machines are produced exclusively at the parent company in Lossburg, Germany. Of a total of around 2,700 employees, about 2,200 work in Germany. About 500 further employees work in Arburg’s organisations around the world.

Hybrid Allrounder injection moulding machines

The hybrid Hidrive-series Allrounders combine a servo-electric clamping unit with a high-performance hydraulic injection unit, energy-optimised hydraulic accumulator technology and servo-electric dosage. Clamp force between 130 and 460t.

Allrounder 2900 cube mould machines

Allrounder Cube injection moulding machines are precisely adapted to cube moulds. Their servo-electric toggle-type clamping unit allows for high-speed cycles with reduced energy requirements. Cube moulds offer twice the number of cavities are available with the same mould mounting surface. Moreover, all four sides of the cube can be used simultaneously for production steps such as mould filling or part removal. The Allrounder Cube machines feature clamp forces of 290t or 460t.

Applications

Application samples for: * Hybrid Allrounder 720: Screw caps: Mass-produced parts in seconds: thanks to high production performance and short cycle times, the hybrid Allrounder 720 H injection moulding machine with a 72-cavity mould converts almost 139 kg of material into screw caps per hour. Powerful ejection is required in synchrony with the mould movements.

* Allrounder cube mould machines: Flip-top closures An Allrounder 2900 cube mould machine will produce 32 two-colour flip-top closures for Pril washing-up liquid bottles from Henkel in a cycle time of 8.5s. Output can be increased by 10 % and energy requirements reduced by around 25 % compared to conventional injection moulding machines.
