  • 1991 – RPC Containers Ltd established as an MBO of 5 manufacturing sites in the UK from SCA (Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget)
  • 1993 – RPC Containers Ltd lists on LSE and RPC Group Plc is formed
  • 1997 – RPC acquires Continental Plastics Europe (12 sites) from Schmalbach-Lubeca
  • 1998 – 2011 – several acquisitions, including Wiko Group and 11 manufacturing sites from Rexam and Nampak
  • 2010 - Launch of RPC 2010 – a programme of amalgamations and divestments
  • 2011 - RPC acquires Superfos, increasing group turnover to over £1bn
  • 2011 – admission to FTSE 250
  • 2013 - RPC Group launches its new strategy - Vision 2020, extending manufacturing coverage by 13 countries and generating additional EPS of 13.2p from synergies from the resulting 9 acquisitions to date
  • 2013 – acquires Maynard & Harris Group significantly enhancing RPC’s US footprint
  • 2014 - RPC acquires Ace Corporation, a Hong Kong company with 5 manufacturing sites in China
  • 2015 - RPC acquires Promens Group AS which adds 40 operating sites to the Group, 6 countries and extends our plastic conversion processing capabilities to include rotational moulding
  • 2016 - acquisition of Global Closure Systems sees RPC Group turnover surpass £2bn and establishes the Group’s manufacturing capability in 28+ countries
  • 2016 – RPC enters the adjacent polythene films market through the acquisition of British Polythene Industries PLC (BPI)
  • 2017 - addition of ESE World in January 2017 gives RPC Group a leading European based design and engineering provider of temporary waste solutions
  • 2017 - acquired Letica in Rochester MI USA
  • 2017 - acquisition of Astrapak in South Africa
