Company Profile
OCTAL is the world's largest producer of PET sheet and resin on a single site and the world's leading clear rigid packing material supplier. Located in Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, the company produces nearly 1 million metric tons of bottle grade PET and DPET™ sheet per year.
Large-scale production facilities, innovative products and global reach are enhancing the performance of OCTAL‘s customers around the world by converting from PVC, polystyrene and PP to fully-recyclable and economically-efficient DPET™ solutions.
DPET™ is the first and only direct-to-sheet polyester sheet. It was developed and introduced to the market in 2008. OCTAL’s unique direct-to-sheet process eliminates five energy intensive stages of the conventional sheet production process (pelletizer, SSP, compactor, dryer and extruder). DPET™ sheet and resin products offers improved waste and cost reduction benefits, increased productivity for thermoformers and unmatched environmental advantages.
OCTAL continually strives to introduce more environmentally friendly production methods and to practice responsibility for natural resources.
Since foundation in 2006 the company has invested to meet increasing PET requirements on the global markets. To meet international demand, OCTAL increased it‘s capacity by 600,000 tons per year in 2012.
