Piovan is a leading enterprise in supplying ancillary equipment, engineered solutions and services to the plastics industry. Together with the other companies of the group, Piovan aims to be a trusted partner for customers in meeting challenges.
The company was founded in 1934 in Padua, Italy and launched its first auxilary equipment in 1964 for the plastics industry.

- 1960s - Luigi Piovan guides the company in a leading role of auxiliary machinery
- first granulator, convair dryer and convector feeder produced
- 1970 - Piovan produces complete range of auxiliary equipment for plastic processing.

- Joint venture with ‚Star‘, a japanese robot manufacturer
- Piovan Germany opens in Garching
