PAPACKS is a european pioneer in sustainable molded fiber packaging and offers innovative packaging concepts for food and non-food products. With the clear focus on climate protection and resource conservation, the company relies exclusively on renewable raw materials such as virgin fibers and industrial hemp.

The company defines it’s mission and purpose to aim for a packaging world without plastic and to take responsibility for packaging through a connection to nature. PAPACKS is not only a developer, packaging manufacturer but also a driving force for innovative raw materials, coatings and production of climate-neutral, sustainable packaging and product solutions that are used in the Circular Economy that can be fully utilized and reused or processed into secondary raw materials in the existing paper recycling system.

Over the course of a decade, PAPACKS has investigated more than 40 different renewable raw materials and developed valuable insights and technologies.

As experts in fibre optimization, the company has developed methods to analyse the properties of these sustainable materials and use them efficiently in various applications. The focus is on providing environmentally friendly solutions for a wide range of industries.

Company goals

The company’s self set goal is the production of molded fiber packaging made from sustainable, biodegradable and recyclable raw materials. To achieve this goal PAPACKS uses closed separators in their production to minimize water consumption and achieve water savings, also reducing the amount of waste that has to be disposed of in landfill sites in order to reduce CO₂ emissions.

The use of controlled, high-quality raw materials guarantees a pure raw material origin without foreign substances which contributes to saving resources. The company also promotes biodiversity through the use of fibers from paludicultures and PAPACKS® Industrial Hemp.

The materials are sourced from sustainable forestry and are FSC-certified, with a new tree being planted for every tree felled. The highest quality standards to the raw materials is applied to ensure high product quality.

To further save resources and CO₂ emissions, the company aims to produce cast fiber packaging from PAPACKS Industrial Hemp fibers.

In addition, PAPACKS operates their production facilities with renewable energy in order to further minimize the ecological footprint and to ensure sustainable production.

Workshops and Training

To pass their knowledge and expertise, PAPACKS offers workshops and training courses that focus on the various renewable raw materials and their possible applications. The workshops enable companies and professionals to benefit from PAPCKS’s experience and expertise and jointly implement sustainable solutions in their projects.
