The mission is to change behavioural habits of plastics users to ensure plastic does not enter oceans and landfill. The vision is to provide recycling solutions for PET plastic waste across the United Kingdom by creating vitreous recycling protocols that encourage commitment from all stakeholders.
Enviroo provides a solution to post consumer plastic waste. The company recycles 100% of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) plastic waste to create ‘food-grade’ polymers that in turn is used to recreate food packaging and plastic bottles. Enviroo created a closed loop recycling method, with long term viability as it ensures transparency, circularity and sustainability.
Enviroo sees it’s responsibility to engage and unite all stakeholders in the recycling sector which will provide a solution to single use plastic. The company is working with government agencies, FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) brands, consumers and charities.
Enviroo uses a innovative technology that segments PET plastic from other supporting components through a highly sophisticated synthesised washing process that is coupled with a world class extrusion process. The resulting polymers can be used in direct food contact packaging. This recycled polymer blends perfectly with virgin PET polymers or it can stand alone in the production process.
Enviroo builds and operates their own PET recycling facilities.
Products
Enviroo creates plastic pellets and mono-sheets that will be used locally in their respective region to minimise the importation of recycled materials and to reduce carbon generated from logistics and transportation.
