History
The company was founded, starting as a textile wholesaler in 1865, quickly turning to a textiel manufacturer. Milliken became one of the first textile companies to realize the potential of man-made fibre and Milliken Research was launched in 1945, followed by Milliken Chemical in 1957. With the combination of textiles and chemicals, Milliken was able to establish themselves as an industry leader in manufacturing and knowledgable innovation.
