Company Profile
Packamama is a group of passionate, young and young at heart professionals dedicated to positively impacting our planet. And as self-proclaimed climate geeks they think that the wine industry needs to change. Particularly in how wine is packaged, because traditional bottles and their transportation have the most significant impact on a bottle of wine’s carbon footprint.
For that reason Packamama invented and produces the eco-flat bottle, that is space-saving, recycled and lightweight. Packamama also provides caps and labels suitable for these bottles.
The secondary packaging makes a greater impact as the bottles’ benefits are amplified throughout the supply chain.
The bottles resemble a traditonal shape in a flat design, allowing to store up to 91% more wine on a pallet in transport and warehousing. The bottles are made of 100% recycled PET and at 63g they are about 87% lighter than traditional glass wine bottles, which lowers the carbon footprint and result in direct financial savings throughout the supply chain. The bottles are fully recyclable.
The company's production footprint spans Australia and Europe, with North American set-up in the works too. Packamama also collaborates closely with trade and environmental organisations in these regions to ensure high efficiency.
