History

Jasper Röders established a pewter manufactory about the year 1800 in Soltau, Germany. The craft enterprise produced tableware for the citizen of Soltau and the surrounding area.Later his son made tin figures and cask taps.

Around 1870 Georg Röders foresaw that the metric system of units would be introduced in the German Empire and he started the production of liter measures in large quantities.

During the First World War Röders was forced to close down. In the nineteen twenties the company resumed production and Röders started development of the die casting process. Later they added plastic injection molding.

After the second World War Albrect Röders built up the pewter foundry from scratch and his son started off with a small turning shop. Since than the turning shop grew from a subcontracting firm to today‘s business unit of blow moulds for PET bottles. In addition Hinrich Röders initiated the first developments in high speed cutting.

The development of the HSC technology was advanced by today‘s managing director Jürgen Röders. In 1991 a HSC machine was presented for the first time at the Hanover Fair. The production of HSC machines is today‘s largest business unit of the company with subsidiaries in the USA, China, Vietnam and France.
