Company Profile
In 2019 the company Finke celebrated it's 70th anniversary and thus 70 years of expertise and experience in high-quality and individual coloring of plastics, always having pursued the goal of providing customers with customized solutions.
A team of proven experts, a flair for product innovation and the willingness to invest in the latest technologies and processes, is a major driving force in the field of pigment preparations since 1949.
Finke offers a high-class product range, state-of-the-art technology that is paired with flexibility and fast response times. A high-quality and versatile color range, product support from design to series production, on-site application and coloristic consulting for customers and precise analysis makes up the company.
Finke is regarded in the industry as a pacemaker for innovative ideas and pioneer for new areas of application and problem solutions in the coloring of plastics. Development work is strongly focused on the use of recyclates and bioplastics as well as sustainable solutions. The company's Fibarec masterbatches based on recyclates, a process for the production of polyolefin bottles with a high recyclate content in which a reliable color result can be achieved with low pigment input and the masterbatches from the Fibaplast range for coloring bioplastics are examples for these solutions.
In production and in the operation of their plants, Finke is careful not to consume unnecessary amounts of energy and to reduce our emissions to a minimum. The integrated environmental and energy management system is certified to ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
Masterbatches based on rPET
Finke uses only recycled materials as carrier polymers for newly developed Fibarec masterbatches for plastics. These recyclates come either from household waste, known as post-consumer recyclates (PCR), or from industrial production waste. All Fibarec masterbatches are based on rPET, but can be processed just as well as masterbatches based on virgin material.
ISCC Plus Certification
Finke received a ISCC Plus certification for the Wuppertal site in February 2022. The ISCC Plus (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) is a standard for recycled and bio-based materials. The certification enables the traceability of these materials along the value chain and puts Finke in a position to allocate the proportion of sustainable raw materials – for example recyclates or bio-based materials – to its products.
