Borealis manufactures polyolefin products that are a intrinsic part of daily lives, working closely with its customers and industry partners to provide innovative and value-creating plastic solutions to make end products safer, lighter, more affordable and adaptable.

The company serves a wide-ranging and diverse area of of polyolefins applications: Automotive, Consumer products, Energy, Healthcare, Pipes & Fittings, Polymer Solutions.

Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, Borealis employs over 6,600 people and operates in over 120 countries. Borealis provides services and products to customers around the world in collaboration with Borouge, a joint venture with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC).

Borealis was formed in 1994 through the merger of Statoil and Neste. At first the Borealis head office was located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since then Borealis has developed from its roots to an international company with strong presence primarily in Central Europe and the Middle East. 2006 the headquarters have been relocated to Vienna, Austria.
